What you can do for free
A free account comes with 150 credits, enough to make your first English font (100 credits) and see every letter, number and accent in a watermarked preview and type tester. There is no card to enter. Downloading the TTF, OTF and WOFF2 files needs a plan or a credit pack; after your first payment, every font you have made unlocks, including the one you made for free.
How credits work
Credits are counted per font, not per download. FontQuill draws your whole character set in one go, so the price depends on how many letters it covers.

Is FontQuill free?
Making and previewing your first font is free with the 150 credits you get on sign-up. Downloading the font files needs a plan or a credit pack, from $9.99 once.
Do I have to make the font again after paying?
No. The font you previewed unlocks in place, and so does every other font in My fonts.
Can I use the fonts commercially?
Yes with Pro, Studio or any credit pack: logos, products, client work and Cricut designs for sale. Starter is for personal use.
Do credits expire?
Pack credits never expire. Plan credits are added every billing month while the plan is active.
What happens if a font fails?
You get the credits back automatically, and you can try again with a clearer description or photo.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel in one click from your account; the plan runs until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.
What is the refund policy?
Email us within 3 days of a payment for a full refund. See the refund policy.
Monthly or yearly: which is cheaper?
Yearly costs about 20% less than paying monthly for the same plan, and you get the year’s credits month by month.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes. Every payment has a receipt and invoice under Account → Payments.
Which payment methods can I use?
Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
