This policy explains what FontQuill (the “Service”, at customfontmaker.com) collects when you make fonts, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have.

Your uploads in short

• Images you upload (a logo, lettering or a photo of your handwriting) are used only to make the font you ask for.
• For AI fonts, the image and your description are sent to our AI image provider for that purpose only. Photos of a printed handwriting template are read on our own servers and are not sent to any AI provider.
• We do not use your uploads to train models and we never sell them. Uploaded images are deleted automatically within 2 days; finished font files stay in My fonts for 7 days on a free account, and until you delete them once you have bought a plan or a credit pack.
• Only upload lettering and handwriting you have the right to use.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and display name; with Google sign-in, the name, email and profile picture Google shares. Email sign-in uses one-time codes, so there is no password to store.
• What you create: the images and template photos you upload, the description, languages and font name you choose, and the font files made for you. Support ticket attachments, if you add them.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive the transaction details and keep your Stripe customer and subscription IDs; we never see or store your card number.
• Technical data: the country your visit comes from, your device and browser type, and server logs needed to run and secure the Service.
• How you found us and what you did: the page you landed on, the referring site and campaign tags in the link (such as UTM tags), and steps you take on the site (for example starting a font, opening checkout or downloading), under a random visitor ID stored in your browser. Once you sign in, these records are linked to your account.

How we use it

• To make your fonts: for AI fonts, your image and description go to an AI image model (such as OpenAI’s GPT Image) through our API provider, only to draw the characters you request. Template photos are straightened, cut into boxes and traced into outlines on our servers.
• To store and deliver your files (Cloudflare) and to run your account, credit balance and purchases.
• To improve the Service: measuring which pages, channels and offers work, and testing different versions of pages and offers.
• To send emails you need: sign-in codes, receipts, support replies and notices about your account.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and measure how the site is used with our own analytics. We may also use Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity, which set their own cookies. You can block cookies in your browser.

Who we share it with

• our AI image provider and the model provider behind it, for AI fonts you request;
• Cloudflare, for hosting, storage and databases;
• Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in, and Resend for email delivery;
• authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the Service and its users.

Keeping and deleting data

• Uploaded images and template photos: deleted within 2 days. Font files: kept in My fonts for 7 days on a free account; kept until you delete them (or your account) once you have bought a plan or a credit pack.
• You can delete your account from Settings, or ask us to delete anything sooner through a support ticket.
• Payment and credit records are kept as long as accounting and tax law require. Site activity records are kept while useful to improve the Service and are removed with your account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), files are served through short-lived signed links, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to some uses. You can export or delete your data from Settings, or ask through a support ticket or [email protected].

Children

The Service is not meant for children under 13 (or the higher minimum age where you live). If you believe a child’s data reached us without a guardian’s consent, contact us and we will delete it.

International processing

We and our providers may process data in several countries, relying on the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.

Changes and contact
